Expressive Gesticulation
Most people move their hands and arms as they talk—that is, they gesticulate. There are many reasons to gesticulate: to help you complete a thought, to help you reach out to your listener, to help you be creative and expressive. And there are many styles of gesticulation: insistent, emphatic, lyrical, clever, discreet, subtle, funny, ridiculous!

In this seminar we’ll watch a wealth of informative and entertaining clips, from which we’ll draw inspiration to improve our individual styles of expressive gesticulation. No previous experience necessary. Or, to put it differently, you’re already quite experienced in this art. Gesticulation tends to happen outside of conscious awareness, but you can bring it to the fore, practice it much as you’d practice any aspect of your coordination, and, over time, internalize these skills and gain confidence in your powers of expression.

Open to all comers, with or without previous experience in the Alexander Technique.
